IMPORTANT NOTICE: Farevacations is an independent travel assistance provider. Our refund policy strictly applies to our independent service fees. Airline tickets and airline fees are strictly subject to the policies of the respective airlines.
1. Farevacations Service Fees
As an independent travel assistance agency, Farevacations charges a service fee for the professional assistance provided by our agents (including but not limited to booking assistance, itinerary modifications, and travel support). Our service fees are non-refundable once the requested service has been successfully fulfilled and rendered.
However, if Farevacations is entirely unable to provide the requested assistance or complete the transaction as agreed due to our own error, the service fee charged by us will be fully refunded to the original method of payment.
2. Airline Tickets and Airline-Imposed Fees
Farevacations does not dictate, override, or control the refund policies of any airline. When you purchase airline tickets or pay for airline modifications (such as baggage fees, seat selection, or fare differences) through our assistance, those funds are processed according to the specific airline's terms and conditions.
- 24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation: Many airlines offer a 24-hour risk-free cancellation period for flights booked at least 7 days prior to departure. If your booking qualifies, the airline ticket cost may be fully refundable within that window according to DOT regulations.
- Non-Refundable Fares: Basic economy and certain discounted fares are generally non-refundable by the airline. In such cases, cancellations may result in an airline credit rather than a cash refund.
- Refund Processing Time: Airline refunds are processed directly by the airline. Once initiated, it may take 7 to 14 business days (or up to two billing cycles) for the airline to post the refund to your account.
